For the past 31 years, I have represented clients throughout Indiana in a wide range of matters concerning legal malpractice, lawyer misconduct, and attorney fees, in general. I concentrate most of my practice in the areas of attorney malpractice, fee disputes, ethical matters, and related aspects. I usually represent former clients in these matters.
When I started, I was probably the only attorney in the state who concentrated his practice in these areas, except perhaps for the attorneys who represented the attorneys. I still may be one of the few who does. As more attorneys are taking on these cases on an occasional basis, I am now getting inquiries about lawyers mishandling legal malpractice cases.
Lawyers who make mistakes should be responsible just as other professionals and citizens should be responsible for their mistakes. Legal malpractice or attorney misconduct may arise through action or through careless inaction, and it can take a variety of forms.
As legal malpractice cases are difficult, I try to work with clients to develop reasonable objectives and satisfactory results. That requires communications between the client and me so that appropriate objectives can be set and, at times, modified. If time permits, I try to resolve each case without having to file a legal malpractice lawsuit in court.
Legal malpractice cases are complicated, and I do not believe in pumping up the expectations of clients.
I have also handled many problems involving fee disputes. Sometimes the fee disputes are part of a legal malpractice case.
I handle my cases objectively. I am opposed to the bragging and boasting on websites. So you will not find on my website inflated statements about myself. I am comfortable in explaining to you my qualifications or disqualifications if you contact me.
